There is a newer version of IPB that contains additional tools and I will update this tutorial when I get a chance.
OK Say you've been exactingly nudging the dials, a little of this morph, a little of that, and suddenly you have a new character based on one of the third generation of millennium figures. Hay not bad. Gotta send that Character to your buddy out in California.

But how? its not kosher to send a CR2 and the multi-megabyte hit would be too much for your dial-up modem. A PZ2 file then, that's legal, and small enough. But wait your buddy has an older computer which doesn't handle a fully loaded Vicki 3 all that well so you know he only injects the morphs he has to. OK now we have a problem, got to slog through all the morphs you used write them down and send the list along with your PZ2 so he can inject them first before using your pose. you've heard that inserting the injectors into the pose is possible but you're not that confident messing around with code.
Now its time to say "INJection Pose Builder to the rescue"
yep Rob Whisenant one of the fine people at DAZ has come up with this handy little utility that can make your injection poses for you, complete with dial settings!
but first your going to have to do a little preparation because you don't want to stick a hundred megabyte CR2 into this utility. It will just take it too long to churn through it. You could run the IPB utility directly off a PZ2 file but that is a problem if you used any full body morphs on your new character, because a PZ2 file doesn't supply enough information to allow the IPB utility to insert all the needed injectors for FBMs. So were gonna have to get rid of some morphs.
But that means I'm going to have to go through all my morphs anyway to strip out the ones I don't need, Right?
in a word, Nope!

OK before saving your CR2 you need to go through these steps if you want to get through this process as quickly as possible.
Step 1 Go into your pose Directory and find
the folder !DAZ'S Victoria 3
Step 2 Click on !IPB Prep
you cant find that file? well that means that you got a version of the program
that came out before that pose was included so go hence to www.daz3d.com and
download the ps_ap038-IPB Update at the bottom of the INJection Pose Builder
product page. but if you havn't gotten to that and you want to go ahead with
this tute there is another way, go to !V3 All Morphs REM. then click on !All
Head Morphs (But I just.....) Shh we'll get to that I swear. then Click on
!All Body Morphs
(Doh! I knew I shouldn't have listened to you. Now all my hard work has gone
to waste. I've got default V3 now, see?)
To quote Douglas Adams DON'T PANIC! all is well. That might look like default
V3, but all your dial settings are still there. See when the REM injectors
remove all the Injected Morphs. They leave the dial settings alone. Its just
that with no deltas the morphs can't be seen. So you can go ahead to step
three with confidence.
..............Huh? oh right, on to step 3
Step 3 Open your Figures Library and add your
character to the library under the final name that you are going to call your
creation by clicking the + button and naming her.
OK you can close poser for now.

OK this is the time to open INJection Pose Builder. For now were going to
assume that you used V3 with the Head Morph pack and Body Morph Pack for your
figure and no others. (If you used other DAZ morph packs you'll have to go
into options and make sure they are set on )
Step 4 go to File/Open and navigate to the poser
directory where you saved your CR2 in step 4
Step 5 select your CR2
Step 6 click Open, and you're off

OK here IPB is going to churn away for a short bit and you don't have to
do anything. shouldn't take long but perhaps this is a good time for you to
go to the refrigerator and get a drink, You know you need it, after all that
stress of seeing your hard work turn into stock V3.
Jeez thought you'd never get back. We've been ready for ages. Got your Drink? Relaxed? good at the bottom of the Log window it should say Done. So on to the next step.
Oh by the way before you go on to the next step, morphs arent the only things that you can INJect with your custom INJection Pose. if you would like to learn more click here.
wait! not interested? dont you want to know how you can automaticly INJect
a Mat Pose? to load wiht your custom character? go on you know you do the
rest of this tutorial will be rith here when you get back. I swear!

OK now all there is left to do in IPB is to save your new PZ2 file back into
your poser directory.
Step 7 go to File/Save As and navigate to the
Poser Pose directory where you will be putting your new PZ2.
Step 8 first note that your PZ2 is named the
same as your original CR2 with the addition of INJ in the file name. (Just
thought I'd pint that out) OK now go ahead and hit save and you can close
out of IPB.
OK lets open up Poser and see what we have.

Step 9 lets see that brand new pose injection
file, but what's this? the little shruggy guy? I hate that little shruggy
guy, you don't want to save your brand spanking new figure like this, let
alone send it to your buddy without a decent icon. I could go through the
process of creating a custom Png file here.
Step 10 but for the purposes of the tute lets
just borrow the Png (or RSR if your using P4 without the pro pack) from your
original CR2.
Step 11 and copy it into the same pose folder
as your PZ2 injection file. don't forget it has to have the exact same file
name as your PZ2 with the png or rsr extension.
Step 12 OK click back into poser and your pose
has a figure, (um once you refresh the window that is)
OK you are all done! yippee yahoo... Um what you don't trust me, don't think it worked?
Jeez Skeptics!

Step 13 OK then lets test her out. First go
into your figure library and load the stock Victoria 3 without morphs. At
this point you can delete the CR2 you created earlier. What still don't trust
me? OK leave her, clog up your hard drive with unnecessary files, see what
I care!
Step 14 go into your pose file and click on your
INJ PZ2 and Viola your custom V3 character has arrived! oh ye of little faith.
Now you have an injection pose fully legal to give away, sell, or swap with your Poser buddies Good job now lets see that character in a render.
